My first feature film, 'Back To The Start,' is a personal story about 17-year-old Maggie Knight, who grapples with suppressing her true self to win her father's love. Paired with her ex-girlfriend Darla for a school project, Maggie rediscovers her authenticity as a Black queer woman. My editing for this film enhances its emotional weight. Inspired by my own journey coming out in a religious household, this project is in pre-production with a table reading soon.
